Gambling Track

Our residential gambling treatment is provided for those patients age 18 and over. We have Nationally Certified Gambling Counselors on staff that assess each patient and develop an individualized treatment plan to address the problems associated with gambling addiction. Problems identified during the assessment process are further addressed in individual therapy and in gambling therapy groups. Attention is given to both cross addiction and relapse issues. Budgeting and financial concerns are also addressed. The patient is involved in a 12- step program for gambling concerns. Educational programming, counseling, group therapy and family sessions provide each individual with opportunities to learn new skills.

About Gambling

Compulsive gambling is a progressive illness which is diagnosable and treatable. It affects the gambler, the family, the employer, and the community. It is called the “hidden illness” since there is no smell on the breath nor stumbling of steps or speech. Nonetheless, a gambling addiction is as debilitating as alcohol or drug addiction.
